I currently write for ehow and it seems like every month there is a new issue to deal with that often takes weeks to fix. With all the bugs on the ehow website the question that I'm always left wondering is why would they make a new website if they can't work the bugs out of the ehow site?

Alrady, thank you. At this point, a straightforward response would shock me (and many others). But one can hope.

Sorry to disagree, but I cannot accept the eHow problems as "growing pains." However, I do wish everyone on the forum would discuss this as fairly and respectfully as you do, Alrady. Friends are fighting friends, and it's disheartening.

I believe it is time to stop waiting for answers that may never come. I will begin posting information here about other content sites to write for, and methods for organizing and protecting your writing online.

This is the year for writing smart to earn a good residual income--I still believe it is possible. Thanks again, Alrady.

Kimberly I hope staff will respond here. I am hoping they will respond on forums.. I am putting a link on my blog to this blog.. You have some great information and I love your analysis! I know all sites have growing pains.

Howie totally agree that communication is key. Especially when the site is about communications... how much more communicative can you get - the written word rules.

I no longer write for ehow for such reasons. First, I did not appreciate the sudden article deletions. I also worried that ehow could be deleting articles to make room for Demand Studios articles. When I heard about the UK site, I thought it was totally unethical of them. I cannot work for a company without principles, so I eventually plan to move my articles somewhere else.

Shame on ehow. They should remember that it was us who helped them become what they are today.

Give them 5 weeks or so, Kim....lol...

On a serious note, they could make HUGE headway by just being transparent and listening to their users. It's not that hard. It's fundamental customer service that all companies should pride themselves on.

Hope springs eternal, Emily. I'm one of those who keeps hoping. eHow's model is so good (lack of transparency aside), and there are so many exceptional people in the community, that I truly hope they will get it together again.

And I'd like to invite the eHow staff to comment here. I promise to approve your comments as written, so please, talk to us!

I have heard many negative stories about eHow but did not know that this was another issue to add to the list! It's too bad! I know a lot of writers who have suffered, had their articles deleted, money withheld, so on and so forth! I cant wait to see how it turns out! So far it’s not looking great. But, like you said, many people still stay! It’s true that it can be hard to leave something you helped create but enough is enough no one deserves that!!!

Do I sense a scent of "discrimination" on behalf of eHow? That is a shame that they would stoop to such low levels....

First their glitches, then their periodic article deletions, and, now this....
